About KCSA

The Vidya Niketan Education Trust in association with the Narayan Bhargava Group under its CSR initiative, has established the Dr. Kalpana Chawla Space Academy (KCSA). The alliance aims to develop world-class scientists through a space science-centered curriculum and to create a long-term career path for students through strategic partnerships. For the development of the space sector, India currently possesses a rare confluence of STEAM talent, cost-competitive technology development, and space missions supported by a supportive regulatory environment. The Kalpana Chawla Space Academy (KCSA) aims to develop top-notch space scientists as part of its nation building mission, ignite children’s interest in space exploration and cultivate the scientific temper required to serve the Indian space industry.

We would nurture young minds with seeds of thoughts for vivid multifaceted employability centric skill development in STEAM and space sciences along with allied fields. Together, we embark on this journey to push the boundaries of what is possible and turn visions of space into reality. Human resource development would help to advance space exploration through innovative programs and devoted to excellence in shaping the future of space science and technology. Our effort is to develop visionary leaders who will drive national space programs and exploration in space in general.

The pedagogy chosen places little emphasis on classroom instruction and more emphasis on activity-based experiential learning that is centered around experiential learning focused on practical training, fieldwork, and projects for the application of concepts learnt while refining their skills through internships, seminars, quizzes, role plays, and more. We would cover a variety of topics, including fundamental scientific and mathematical concepts, astronomy, rocketry, robotics, STEAM, environmental science, and biodiversity in addition to the Sanskrit language.

KCSA’s academic structure has been crafted with the help of experts at a national, as well as international scale. Our unique program aligns with the New Education Policy and is continuously evolving to improve the learning outcome for students. The program is residential in nature and offered to students starting from std. 7 to std. 12 for a period of 6 years. Further, the students will attend regular school pre noon and the space education program will be held post-school hours for three hours.
